Man Appears In Court On Hit-And-Run Charge

A 54-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with a hit-and-run in Belfast in which a pensioner was seriously injured.

Mr David Fee from Chief Street is charged with causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving and also faces a number of other driving offences.

Ann McQuitty, 67, suffered multiple injuries including a broken ankle and arm following the incident.

Mr Fee’s solicitor told the court he had been aware that he was involved in a crash and as soon as he heard about it he went to the police.

Mr Fee was given bail and ordered not to contact Mrs McQuitty, her family or any witnesses.
