County Antrim Man Jailed For Seven Years
A County Antrim man has been jailed for seven years for crimes including an assault on a 58-year-old woman.
Richard Alexander McPhee, 39, from Station Road in Armoy beat the woman with a baseball bat and was also part of a gang of three masked men who smashed their way into a couple’s home.
Almost every room in the house was wrecked and the couple were told they had ’24 hours to get out’.
Almost £13,000 damages were caused to the property during the 2005 incident in Mosside, Ballymoney.
The Belfast Recorder’s Court heard how Mr McPhee was arrested after his DNA was found on the inside of a balaclava.
Mr McPhee later pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated burglary, intimidation, inflicting actual bodily harm and criminal damage.

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.

Three Arrested in L'Derry For Drug Offences
Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
