Irish Consulate Set Up In Bordeaux For Rugby Fans
A temporary Irish consulate is to be established in Bordeaux for fans travelling to Ireland's opening games in the Rugby World Cup.
Ireland will play Namibia and Georgia on September 9 and 15. Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern said: "This will ensure that fans attending Ireland's World Cup matches in that city against Namibia and Georgia on September 9 and 15 will have access to a wide range of consular service."
He added: "I am confident that the coming weeks will be hugely enjoyable and successful for players and fans alike."
Extra consular and passport staff will also be made available in Bratislava and Prague for Irish football fans travelling to the European Championship qualifiers against Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Ives arrives at the club for an undisclosed fee after making more than 200 appearances for Cliftonville. During his time at Solitude, the 25-year-old was made vice-captain and won the league cup twice.
