Irish President To Visit Jersey
President Mary McAleese is to pay her first visit to Jersey next week.
Mrs McAleese will meet with senior state officials and members of the Irish community in Jersey and Guernsey on Friday and Saturday.
She will also attend a reception hosted by the Irish community in St Helier on Friday, and will later be guest of honour at a dinner hosted by the Bailiff of Jersey, Sir Philip Bailache.
The Irish President will meet with the Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, Lieutenant General Andrew Ridgway.
In Guernsey, a visit has been scheduled to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Irish President Mary McAleese was today confronted by a group of loyalist protesters, who jeered and barracked her, during a visit to a Coleraine primary school. A crowd of around 50 people gathered at Millburn Primary School and shouted sectarian abuse at Mrs McAleese and her husband.
