Dodds Opens New £6.5Million Contact Centre In Newry
Economy Minister Nigel Dodds today officially opened Teleperformance’s new contact centre in Newry.
The 23,000 square feet centre is the result of a £6.5million Invest NI backed investment that will help Teleperformance handle a major increase in new business.
The company is a leading provider of intelligent contact centre and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions.
The new Newry facility will almost double the company’s current capacity by adding to the already established 700 seat contact centre in Bangor, Co Down.
Minister Dodds said: “The contact centre sector in Northern Ireland has grown rapidly over the past few years, with many international companies recognising how our talented local people and this cost competitive European location can add value to a global business.
"With this new facility, Teleperformance will build upon its existing presence in Northern Ireland, and ensure that it continues to grow the business whilst providing a quality service to its current and future clients. The resulting impact on the local economy will be extremely positive.”
Jeff Smith, Chairman and CEO of Teleperformance added: “We really are delighted with the significant growth we have been able to make in Northern Ireland and fully appreciate the support from Invest NI which has enabled us to bring our new Newry facility to fruition. With a rapidly increasing client bank across the UK and Europe, I am confident that Northern Ireland will continue to offer us the calibre of skilled contact centre staff for which Teleperformance has become renowned.”
