Irish Coast Guard Helicopter In Mournes Rescue

An Irish Coast Guard Helicopter was called in to winch an injured woman from the Mourne Mountains in County Down.

The woman was injured in a fall on Slieve Beg on Sunday afternoon. It is understood that she suffered a broken ankle in the fall.

On Saturday a party who had become lost in the Mournes were located by a rescue team at around 9pm. They were escorted to safety without further incident.

Missing Diver's Body Found
The body of a diver missing off the Co Galway coast has been recovered this afternoon. The 42-year-old man was with three colleagues diving close to the entrance of Killary Harbour. They raised the alarm when the man failed to surface. Coast Guard, rescue teams, and the Garda diving unit were involved in the search operation.

Body Found In Missing Person Search
The search for a "high-risk missing person" in north Belfast has sadly ended with the discovery of a body. Volunteers from the Community Rescue Service (CRS) were deployed to the area on Tuesday morning, 28 May, to assist in the search for a person who had been missing from their home for some time.

Flood Danger Sparks 'International' Rescue
A rescue helicopter was last night dispatched from Dublin to help in the rescue of two people stranded at the Bloody Bridge area of the Mournes as the South Down Coastguard also went to their aid. The Mournes drama began when the police contacted Belfast Coastguard yesterday afternoon to alert them to the stranded people.

Three Arrested in L'Derry For Drug Offences
Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.
