Business consortium urges proactive approach toward eLearning
The Knowledge Management Exchange has urged local businesses to be more proactive when it comes to eLearning within their own organisations.
The Exchange, founded by a consortium of public and private sector organisations, has called on Northern Ireland businesses to look at the major benefits to be gained from a more proactive approach to eLearning.
The call came in the run up to the group's next seminar sponsored by Invest NI, Fujitsu Services, Parity, Thomson NETg and Skillsoft on the topic of eLearning, at 6pm on November 4 in the Stormont Hotel.
Colin Patterson of Fujitsu Services, who will be speaking on the night, said: "eLearning, which is essentially about the delivery of tailored training solutions straight to the desktop, is a major growth area for Northern Ireland, and it's as relevant to SMEs as large organisations.
"Organisations that have implemented eLearning strategies have found that their training budgets go further and are more effective for individual employees as well as allowing staff to learn at their own pace and, often, in their own time."
