Stormont Civil Service Jobs At Risk
Jobs are in jeopardy at the Stormont Assembly - and specialist workers in the civil service could now be facing redundancy - as part of government reforms.
An Assembly committee has been told that senior officials are not ruling out the move as part of a programme to shed around 150 jobs by March.
However, Department of Finance and Personnel Permanent Secretary Bruce Robinson told the Assembly's finance committee most losses would be met by natural staff turnover.
Finance Minister Peter Robinson has already called for efficiency savings across the civil service and has set up a central panel to oversee savings.
