Man charged over loyalist weapons find
Police have charged a 38-year-old man in connection with the an arms and ammunition find in Newtownabbey yesterday.
The man was arrested after police uncovered a quantity of long and short arms, pipe bombs, a booby-trap device and a substantial amount of ammunition in the roof space of a building in the loyalist Rathcoole estate.
The police said a sophisticated keyhole-type bomb, which is designed to go off when a door is opened, was also recovered. Police are linking the find to the loyalist paramilitary organisation Ulster Defence Association.
The weapons are undergoing forensic examination to see if any of them have been used during the recent spate of loyalist attacks.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Arrested Under Terrorism Act
A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co Tyrone. The 34-year-old was detained in the Coalisland area on Tuesday, 19 June. He is currently in custody at Musgrave police station. The arrest is in relation to a weapons and ammunition find at a garage in the Mountjoy Road in 2011.

Four People Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder
Four more people have been arrested over the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, a high-profile loyalist, was shot in the neck in the Woodburn estate in Carrickfergus on 13 March this year. He died from his injuries the next day in hospital. A 30-year-old man and three women have been taken to Musgrave Police Station to be questioned.
