Recruitment Boost For Larne
A new service covering recruitment and training services in the Larne area has been established.
Working under the auspices of LEDCOM, Larne’s enterprise and economic development organisation, the new agency, Chain Recruitment & Training, aims to provide local employers with a cost-effective solution to their recruitment and training needs.
It operates from LEDCOM"s Bank Road premises and offers a full service, including short-listing and pre-interviewing of candidates, providing temping staff, advice on human resources and employment legislation and structured training programmes.
Anne Taylor heads up the agency. She said: “Often employers, especially in small businesses, don’t have the time to deal with the full recruitment process. But when a business is taking on staff it is vital that they get the right people, with the right skills, experience and attitude.
“Chain Recruitment & Training provides a professional service at an affordable price that can help employers when they need to take on full or part time, temporary or permanent staff. With our input employers can reduce the time they need to spend on the recruitment process so that they can concentrate on their core business.”
LEDCOM’s Chief Executive, Ken Nelson, said: "Our role is to support local businesses and entrepreneurs and we are continually looking for new ways in which to improve and extend the services that we offer.
“This new initiative will benefit the East Antrim community by meeting the needs of employers seeking new staff as well as helping to increase the employability of local people through the provision of relevant training.
“As a local enterprise agency any revenue we accrue from this initiative will be put back into the business to further benefit the community.”
The project is part financed by the European Union Peace and Reconciliation Programme.

Recruitment Boost For Frontline
Midlands-based Frontline Recruitment is celebrating after bucking the national trend in 2009 and taking on 150 new clients since the beginning of the year. Despite the economic doom and gloom, the firm has continued to grow and has added 150 new clients to its books since January, which alone have generated a turnover of £1.23million.
