Classrooms Closed Again
While the last of three other trade unions has now decided to accept a revised deal to end a long-running dispute, classroom assistants belonging to the Nipsa union are on strike again.
On Monday, workers belonging to the Unison union voted to accept an offer from employers.
More than three-quarters of them voted to accept the deal on offer, which adds an extra £15m to the deal to compensate for changes in work conditions.
However, Nipsa's 3,000 classroom assistants are still striking every Tuesday and Friday and is now the only one of the four unions refusing to accept the proposed job evaluation process.
It is also alone in continuing to take industrial action in the dispute over pay and conditions and now plans to continue its campaign at least until Christmas.
However, a meeting of all unions and employers has been called for Friday.

Irish Congress Of Trade Unions Conference Begins
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions conference opens today in Belfast, which will see over 700 delegates debate the economic crisis and the reform of trade union structures. The Biennial Delgate Conference (BDC) is adopting the theme of 'Decent Work, Better Future'. It will run from 2-4 July in the Assembly Rooms, Belfast.
