Teacher Suspension A 'Precaution' After Child Porn Arrest
One of Northern Ireland's most prestigious schools has confirmed that one of its teachers has been suspended from his job as a precaution after being arrested and questioned.
Sullivan Upper School in Holywood has taken the action after a teacher at the County Down grammar school was charged with 'making and possessing indecent images of children'.
The Holywood school is writing to parents of pupils but said there was no evidence that the alleged activities were connected to the school.
However, it said it was obliged to issue the precautionary suspension in cases such as this.
It is understood the man has been released on bail.

All schools in Northern Ireland are now Eco-Schools, the Environment Minister has confirmed. Minister Mark H Durkan was speaking at the Eco-Schools National Operators Meeting (NOM), an annual global conference, coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
