IRA Behind Quinn Witness Threats: Claim
A star witness in the investigation into the brutal murder of a South Armagh man last year is being threatened by the IRA.
The family of Paul Quinn, 21, who was murdered in Co Monaghan three months ago - allegedly by the IRA - says the main witness to the killing has been threatened.
They say the IRA threatened the witness, although this has been denied by the local MP, Sinn Fein's Conor Murphy.
Mr Quinn, from Cullyhanna, was abducted and beaten to death in Monaghan last October.
The family and local campaigners have consistently blamed IRA members but Sinn Fein denies any republican involvement.
Assembly Minister, Conor Murphy says Sinn Fein has supported the family both publicly and privately and has encouraged anyone with information to go to the PSNI or Gardai.
He has not withdrawn his belief that criminals were involved.
