Old Ladies Burgled

Two elderly ladies in west Belfast have been forced to endure both threats and an 'aggravated' burglary.

The two women - in their late 80s - were threatened during the disturbing incident at their home in the Clonard area of west Belfast.

It happened shortly before 9.30pm on Tuesday when four men pushed open the door of the house at Waterville Street.

They threatened the two pensioners, then ransacked the house and stole a handbag, a purse, cash, pension books, and bankbooks.

Neither woman was physically injured, but both were left shocked.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
