Kielty Caught Speeding In Scotland
Dundrum born comedian, Patrick Kielty, has been caught by police driving at over 100mph in Scotland.
Police stopped the comedian on the A75 close to Newton Street, Dumfries and Galloway in December last year, Mr Kielty is due to make a plea at Stranraer Sheriff Court later this month.
A driving ban could be imposed by the court if Mr Kielty is convicted.
Ten years ago the Love Island and Fame Academy presenter escaped a ban for doing 121mph in a 60 zone in Lisburn, Co Antrim, after explaining he was rushing to keep a charity date in Dublin.
Recently, the BBC presenter Patrick Kielty was been honoured by Queen's University in Belfast for services to the performing arts.
Last year, members of a Dublin audience walked out of one of his shows after jokes about Kate and Gerry McCann and their missing daughter Madeline.
The comic apologised to anyone who took offence and said his act focused on the way the media had handled the high-profile case.
