Recruitment companies merge for local market
Sales Placement and Contract People, who operate in Belfast and Dublin, have now joined forces in Northern Ireland to provide specialist sales and marketing recruitment.
With its head office in Belfast, the new company will be called Sales Placement Contract People. Focusing initially on the local market, the new operation will employ 12 full-time staff, with a further 300 staff in full and part-time positions.
The agency's director, Alan Rutherford, said: “We believe the whole area of recruitment is entering a new era. This merger means that we are well placed to provide a service to employers - and potential employees - which is second to none.
“Anyone coming to us looking for permanent or contractual employment will benefit from the wealth of experience and expertise we can offer. We are one of the leading recruitment and field marketing specialists in Northern Ireland, and we pride ourselves on finding quality personnel who are individually profiled and skills tested to ensure the best person for the job."
As part of its full range of specialist sales and marketing recruitment consultancy services, the company will offer internal assessment interviews, fair employment consultancy, psychometric testing, interviewing with clients and training on interview techniques.
Sales Placement Contract People will provide personnel on a contracted or permanent basis in a number of sectors, including: construction, IT, FMCG, travel and tourism, advertising, PR and marketing, pharmaceutical, administration and telesales.

Number Of Unemployment Claimants Falls
The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in Northern Ireland has dropped, new figures have revealed. A total of 31,200 people claimed in May 2017, according to the latest labour market survey. The rate is above the UK averages of 4.6%, however it is below the European Union rate for March 2017.
