Arrests Follow Shootings
While police are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man - wounded in County Armagh last night, a man (27) has been arrested in connection with a murder that occurred almost a year ago, in Londonderry.
Pub doorman Brian McGlynn, (28) was shot dead at his home in the Fountain Hill area of the Waterside in June 2007.
He was originally from Strabane, but had been working as a doorman at a nightclub and a separate pub in the city.
The man is being held for questioning at the PSNI's secure facility in Antrim.
Meanwhile, last night's shooting - which happened at about 11.50pm on Monday at Mullacreevie Park, Armagh - has left the victim badly hurt.
He suffered gunshot wounds to the knees and upper back. He is being treated in hospital where his condition is described as "stable".
A police spokesman said the motive for the attack was still unclear. Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
In more related news, two people questioned by police about a separate shooting in County Tyrone have been released.
A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were freed pending further inquiries, but a 21-year-old man held in connection with the gun attack is still being questioned by police.
A 28-year-old Lithuanian man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest in the shooting at Lineside, Coalisland, at about 3am on Sunday.
He is said to be ill but in a stable condition in hospital.

A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.
