Special Needs Classroom Damaged In Bomb Attack

A classroom with educational equipment for a child with special needs was damaged when six devices were thrown at a County Tyrone school, police have revealed.

However, it is not thought the attack at Strabane Grammar School was sectarian.

Ch Insp Mark said "we can't understand why people would want to do this" adding the school is "providing a valuable service to everybody".

Chief Inspector Phil Marks has appealed for anyone with information to contact the police.

In other news, eight windows of a licensed premises were damaged during an early morning incident at Main Street in Rasharkin.

All 8 windows were shattered and the remains of a petrol bomb were also discovered outside the building at around 8am on July 11.
