Carrick Sea Death 'Not Suspicious'
The police are treating the circumstances surrounding a woman's death in the sea off Co Antrim this morning as "not suspicious" and are now close to an identification of the victim.
A spokesman said this morning "a line of enquiry regarding the woman's identity was being followed".
The body was pulled from the water at Carrickfergus harbour, a short distance from the town's castle at about 8.15am this morning, Thursday.
A RNLI lifeboat crew assisted in the recovery of the woman's body.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that two women had to be rescued after falling into mudflats at the River Lagan in Belfast early today.
The NI Fire and Rescue Service said one was semi-conscious and the other was suffering from shock and exposure.
The two women, both in their 30s, slipped into the mud and a passer-by raised the alarm when he heard their cries at about 3.45am.
