£500m commercial development set for North West
Plans were unveiled on Thursday July 4 for a £500m commercial development investment in the heart of the North West.
The development is set to provide up to 8,000 new jobs during construction and when completed, and is to include a high quality workspace for modern business to bring the River Foyle in Londonderry back into use for sport and recreation.
Chief executive of the Foyle Project Colm Cavanagh said the development was a major investment for the area and that McCormick Properties had received overwhelming support when it presented its proposals to a private meeting of Derry City Council on Wednesday evening.
