Road Closure After 'Suspect Device' Found

The Ballyskeagh Road in Lisburn is closed to traffic this morning as the result of a security alert. According to a police spokesman, a suspect device was found in the area.

Man Accused Of Rape

A man is due in court this morning charged with rape. It is reported the charges relate to an incident which occurred on the Whitewell Road in north Belfast in the early hourse of Sunday morning. The 25-year-old accused will appear before Laganside Magistrates.

Ryanair Drops Derry-Bristol Flight

The Ryanair service from Derry to Bristol has been dropped. The low-cost airline announced the service to Bristol from the City of Derry Airport would end on 1 October. Last month the service carried more than 3,000 passengers. A Derry to East Midlands flight, will also be replaced by a service to Birmingham.

Hard-Hitting Road Safety Message Delivered To Young People
Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.
