Police Appeal After Early Morning Sexual Assault
Police in Belfast have appealed for help after a young woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 18-year-old was attacked on Apsley Street in the south of the city sometime between 1am and 2am on Wednesday, a PSNI spokeswoman said.
Officers investigating the incident have appealed for witnesses or anyone else with information to contact their nearest police station.
There are no further details at present.

A report into the law and procedures surrounding serious sexual offences in Northern Ireland has recommended restricting the public's access to trials. The Gillen Review, which commenced last May, has independently scrutinised how courts operate in cases of serious sexual offences. Sir John Gillen, a former Lord Justice of Appeal led the study.

Six men have been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in south Belfast. The attack is believed to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 19 September. An investigation has launched and the suspects are helping the PSNI with their enquiries.

An investigation has been launched into the alleged serious sexual assault of a woman in south Belfast on 12 July. Police have said that the woman was attacked shortly after midnight in St George's Gardens near Sandy Row. Police are searching for a man in connection with the attack.

Police are continuing to appeal for information after a woman was sexually assaulted during a robbery at her home in Co Down. The attack took place at around 5.30am on Friday when two intruders broke into the woman's home in Bangor.
