Man Charged Over Portavogie Stabbing
Police in County Down have charged a man in connection with a weekend stabbing in the fishing village of Portavogie.
Last night a local man was still being treated in hospital following the attack, although it is understood his condition is not life threatening.
It is believed the victim was attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Another man arrested in connection with the attack has since been released without charge.
Police in Newtownards are investigating the incident.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Charged In Connection With East Belfast Attack
A man has been charged in connection with an attack which happened on 06 March in east Belfast. A 32-year-old male was assaulted in the Templemore Avenue area and sustained serious head injuries. The suspect has been charged with grevious bodily harm (GBH) and is to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, 14 October.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and grevious bodily harm with intent following a stabbing incident in Lisnaske, Co Fermanagh. Three men received hospital treatment following the attack at a house in Trasna Way on Saturday, 08 October. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".
