Instruction Firm Drives 250 Jobs
A total of 250 jobs are to be created following the expansion of driver training and instruction company SIM2Learn, it has been announced.
The company has its headquarters in Galway, and operates from centres in Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Letterkenny.
The C&F Group is investing more than €4m in the company, which will open 30 new training centres over the next six months.

Siemens is to axe 4,500 jobs worldwide. Unite national officer, Linda McCulloch, said: "We need clarity from the Siemens management how this announcement will impact on the nearly 14,000 people that the company employs in the UK.

Citrix Creates 50 New Jobs
Citrix has announced that it is increasing its workforce in Dublin by creating 50 full time jobs. These high value jobs are in addition to the 50 new jobs announced in August 2011 and demonstrate the on-going growth of Citrix technical support, sales, IT operations and online services divisions in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Talk Talk To Close Its Doors
The Talk Talk call centre in Waterford will today shut down with up to 600 people set to be left unemployed by this evening. This follows an announcement last month that the company would close its Irish base within 30 days. The Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton pushed for an extension to the 30-day notice period but the request was later refused.

Fresh Irish Job Losses Announced
In a devastating blow it has been revealed that a further 1,130 jobs could be under threat in Ireland. It has been rumored that 130 jobs could be axed at Rigney Dolphin who employ around 1,000 people in three offices in Waterford, Dublin and Dundalk.
