Flight Diverted After Woman Falls Ill
A flight from Belfast to the United States has been forced to divert after an elderly passenger fell ill.
Continental Airlines Flight CO95 to Newark Liberty International was diverted to Keflavik in Iceland after the woman started to feel unwell.
Two doctors onboard the flight discovered the woman had developed a low pulse. She had to be administered oxygen until the plane landed.
Police in Iceland were also called to remove to passengers who had become disruptive during the flight. They were removed on arrival at Iceland's main airport and left behind when the flight left Keflavik.
A Continental Airlines spokesman said: "The captain contacted the Icelandic police and they decided to remove the passengers from the plane. They remained in Iceland after the flight left."
