Slanair Systems become division of Nederman UK
Nederman UK has cemented its position as a leading supplier of dust and fume extraction equipment in Northern Ireland, with its recent acquisition of Slanair Systems in the province.
Slanair Systems now becomes a division of Nederman UK, with founder Alan Slane remaining at the head of the business as General Manager.
Slanair initially achieved success in the automotive industry supplying vehicle fume extraction equipment. Having consolidated its presence in that market sector, the company then moved on to take large share of the commercial welding market with high-vacuum systems and reels, finally specialising in Nederman dust extraction equipment in vehicle bodyshops.
Commenting on the acquisition, Nederman Sales Director, Gary Keene: "With Slanair benefiting from Nederman's resources, and Nederman, in turn, benefiting from Slanair's excellent reputation, I see this as being of overwhelming support to the Northern Ireland customer base.
"Alan Slane has built the business since it started in the late 1980s. It is now the market leader in Northern Ireland and includes amongst its customers, Short Bros."
Stuart McKee, Alan Slane's right hand man, is to take on an enlarged administrative role in the new structure, whilst recruitment of additional staff - both operative and administrative - is also going ahead.
