Eoghan And Boyzone For X Factor Final?
Northern Ireland's Eoghan Quigg is expected to duet with fellow Irish singers, Boyzone, on Saturday's live X Factor final. Although as yet unconfirmed, he is likely to take to the stage with the band, which reunited this year after a seven-year break.
Meanwhile, it is not often that top Stormont Ministers Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness are found to canvas votes for the same candidate.
However, Dungiven teenager Eoghan Quigg's bid to win the X Factor final this Saturday has seen the First and Deputy First Ministers join forces to rally voters.
DUP First Minister Mr Robinson said: "Reaching the final of the X Factor is a tremendous achievement for anyone, not least someone as young as Eoghan.
"I wish him all the best and would encourage everyone here to lift their phones and vote for him."
Meanwhile, Sinn Fein's Mr McGuinness, the Deputy First Minister, echoed Mr Robinson's support for the schoolboy: "It is not often you would find the First Minister and I canvassing for the same candidate, but Eoghan deserves the support of us all in his continued bid for stardom.
"I wish him well on Saturday, but whatever the result, he has already done us proud," he said.
The final is set to be a cliffhanger, even to the point that no one is quite sure about who the established artists taking part will be.
