Festive Post Arrangements Revealed
Royal Mail is this week reminding customers of delivery and collection arrangements and Post Office branch opening hours over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
There will be a normal postal delivery with an earlier afternoon collection service from all postboxes on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December.
There will be no deliveries or collections on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 and Boxing Day, Friday, 26 December. Normal service will resume on Saturday, 27 December.
There will be no deliveries or collections on New Year's Day, Thursday, 1 January. Normal service will resume on Friday, 2 January 2009.
Main Post Office branches will close on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December at 12.30pm.
Opening hours may vary across the network and customers are advised to check their local branch for details.

Translink Release Festive Timetable
Translink has released its Christmas and New Year timetable for the festive season. Passengers are urged to ensure their travel arrangements are in place ahead of Christmas nights out, with a range of night movers buses and trains on offer. A range of reduced fares and value offers will also be available.

Dept Of Health: 'Get Boosted For Christmas'
All adults eligible for their booster are being encouraged to get the jab at one of the many vaccination clinics in operation this week. As of yesterday, all those aged over 18 who received their second dose at least three months ago, can now take up the opportunity to get boosted.

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced an embargo on Belfast road works in a bid to assist shoppers and traders during the run-up to Christmas. The works will cease from 26 November until after Christmas, with the exception of emergency works.
