PSNI Save Man In Foyle As Lagan Missing Still Sought
While the emergency services are today searching part of the River Lagan in Belfast for a man believed to have fallen in overnight, an 18-year-old man has been successfully rescued from the River Foyle in Londonderry.
Police were called to Queen's Quay following reports that a man was in the water at about 2.15am on Monday.
Officers threw him a life buoy before Foyle Search and Rescue arrived at the scene and brought the man ashore using a dinghy.
He was taken to hospital, but, is "not expected to suffer any lasting effects".
Meanwhile, after reports that a man was seen in the water in the early hours of Monday morning in the Lagan, a search is focused on a section of the river close to Queen's Bridge.

Police officers have been praised for rescuing a man from the River Lagan on Sunday 02 December. Emergency services quickly responded when it was reported a man had fallen into the water close to the Obel Tower. He was pulled to safety and treated at the scene in an operation involving police, ambulance staff and river rescue personnel.

Man Rescued From River Lagan
A man has been rescued from the River Lagan in Belfast. At around 1.20pm on Friday, emergency services were called to the scene close to the Ormeau Bridge. It was reported a man had fallen into the river but when emergency services reached the scene the man had already been pulled to safety. He has been taken to hospital.

Body Recovered From River Lagan
Police are investigating after a woman's body was discovered in the River Lagan. The body was found in the Shaw's Bridge area on Monday afternoon, 16 September. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

Body Of Sam Comber Recovered From River Foyle
The body of missing man Sam Comber has been recovered from the River Foyle, police have confirmed. Mr Comber, 39, was last seen at a supermarket in L'Derry on Sunday, 14 May. His bicycle was later found in a lay-by in the Newbuildings area. His body was recovered on Saturday, 20 May.
