Charity Oscars set take place in Belfast

The Northern Ireland charity Oscars are to be presented on Wednesday evening at the NICVA/Camelot Link Awards in Belfast.

The event, which will take place at the Europa Hotel, recognises support given to local charities by employers and employees.

This year 106 businesses have been nominated for the top Award with nominees ranging from Adria in Strabane and McCombe Brothers in Antrim to the Canal Court Hotel in Newry and Avondale Foods in Lurgan.

The LINK awards were established 16 years ago, and have been supported for the last six by Camelot. LINK recognises the outstanding support that charitable organisations receive from the business community, and celebrates the significant impact of these partnerships on our community.

Wednesday nights award ceremony is to be presented by former Olympic gymnast, Suzanne Dando and Coronation Street actor, Bill Tarmey, alias Jack Duckworth.
