Man Questioned Over Magherafelt Death

A post mortem is to take place today after the discovery of a body in Co Londonderry.

The man whose body was found in a house in Magherafelt on Sunday has since been named as 47-year-old William Guy. A man (22) is still being questioned by police following the discovery in the Rainey Street area around 3.30am on Sunday. A large part of the street, which is in the centre of the town, was cordoned off yesterday as police scenes-of-crime officers examined the area.

Murder inquiry launched after discovery of man's body
Police have launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body in east Belfast yesterday afternoon. William Weir, 46, from the McMaster Street area of the city, was found in a house in the Tower Street area of the Newtownards Road at around 4.45pm.

Man Charged With East Belfast Murder
A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a dismembered body in the Mount area of east Belfast. The body of William David McClatchey, 34, from Taughmonagh in south Belfast was found in a bin in the courtyard at the rear of a block of flats at Pottinger House at around 6pm on Monday evening.

Man's body discovered at landfill site
UPDATE: The discovery of the body of a young man at a landfill site in North Belfast is no longer being treated as suspicious. Police were called to the Dargan Cresent area of the city, following the discovery of the body at around 9am on Monday morning. Detectives are no longer treating the 19-year-old man's death as suspicious.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Intimidation And Criminal Damage
A man has been arrested on suspicion of intimidation and criminal damage. A number of attacks on homes and cars have forced families to leave the Ballysillan area of north Belfast. A 26-year-old man was arrested and he is helping police with their enquiries.
