Murdered Soldier Laid To Rest
The funeral of one of the two soldiers shot dead by the Real IRA in Antrim has taken place.
Mark Quinsey, 23, (pictured, on right) was murdered on March 7th with his colleague Patrick Azimkar (also pictured) as they took delivery of a pizza at Massereene Barracks earlier this month.
Sapper Quinsey's funeral at Highters Heath in his home city of Birmingham heard his sister, Jaime Quinsey, say that he was "the most caring brother".
Sapper Quinsey had been "cheated of the opportunity to serve his country", she continued - referring to his posting to Afganistan with his regiment - 25 Field Squadron, 38 Engineer Regiment.
He was due to fly out to the war zone just hours after his violent death.
The funeral comes five days after that of Constable Stephen Carroll who was the first PSNI officer murdered by terrorists.
He was buried last Friday after being shot dead by the Continuity IRA in Craigavon just two days after the soldiers' murders.
Patrick Azimkar's burial service is expected to take place at the end of the week.
The Londoner had intended to return to live in Northern Ireland with his girlfriend when he finished his military career.
Police have been given until the weekend to continue questioning four men in connection with the killings.
