Three Killed On NI Roads
Three people have died on Northern Ireland's roads this past weekend.
A man was fatally injured after being hit by a car in Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone.
He was Zbigniew Bartnicki, a 52-year-old Polish national.
Police said he was walking along the Tullyvar Road in Aughnacloy at about 8.45pm on Saturday when he was hit by a Vauxhall car.
They have appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
A 21-year-old man was killed following a car accident in the Ballyhacket Lane area of Castlerock at 1.30pm on Saturday.
He has been named as Edward James Robert Millican. A 17-year-old man was taken to hospital following the accident. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said the collision involved only one vehicle, a white Mini Cooper.
A few hours later an 83-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in Coleraine.
Patsy Fairley, from the Knocksandel area, was hit by a car at the junction of Railway Road and Circular Road shortly after 4.15pm on Saturday.
She was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine, but later died.
The three deaths bring the total of those killed on Northern Ireland’s roads so far this year to 25.
Anyone who witnessed that accident has also been asked to contact the police in Coleraine.

Local roads get record £80m spend
A record £80 million will be spent on structural roads maintenance this year across Northern Ireland. The figure was revealed by Deputy Divisional Roads Manager, Tom McCourt as he presented DRD Roads Service’s autumn report to Newtownabbey Borough Council. Mr McCourt said: "This is a huge increase in investment over previous years.
