Property firm Lisney on top of NI property market
Belfast Property consultancy Lisney has been identified as the busiest property agency in Northern Ireland by UK commercial property resource EGi, the online version of leading property journal Estates Gazette.
Lisney came out on top in Northern Ireland in the first ever EGi Deals competition, which seeks to find the most active commercial property agents in the UK. The results showed that Lisney was not only the busiest agency overall, but that the firm was most active in each of the property sectors (office, retail, and industrial/distribution).
Revealing the results, Estates Gazette said: "The competition was based on the number of commercial property deals submitted to the team no matter what size. The aim was to find the most active agent in the country, not just those that were responsible for the largest deals.
"Looking at the results as a whole it is clear that, despite the presence of a number of large national firms on the list, there is still room for a number of regional specialists to make their mark."
David McNellis Agency Director, Lisney said: "To be recognised as the leading property agency in Northern Ireland is a fantastic achievement, especially when the recognition comes from a respected source such as Estates Gazette. To have been identified as the busiest agency in Northern Ireland in each of the main property sectors is a huge accolade and one which we will aim to repeat in next year's competition.
"In the past year we have been able to complete many high profile deals including the sale of the former Royal Sun Alliance building in the city centre, the former CIYMS sports grounds in Belfast, the letting of the last remaining space at Clarendon Dock, and the introduction to Northern Ireland of many new operations including Fitness First, Holland & Barrett, Orange and Musgrave SuperValu Centra amongst others. Winning this competition shows that as well as securing the high profile deals, Lisney is consistently completing more deals than any other property agency in Northern Ireland."
