£1m Lisburn Business Centre Building Opens
Northern Ireland Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened a new £1m building in Lisburn, in a bid to bolster local small businesses.
The new development, which could potentially create 15 new jobs, includes a head office, workspaces and conference facilities.
It is located at Lisburn Enterprise Organisation (LEO) at Enterprise Crescent on Ballinderry Road. LEO is an agency that works to encourage small business development throughout the city.
Ms Foster said: "By providing facilities and services to help small business grow, it can encourage entrepreneurship, create local employment opportunities and support the sustainable development of the area.
"By supporting local enterprises, bodies such as Lisburn Enterprise Organisation provide employment and training opportunities for local people, help increase business productivity and contribute towards the strengthening of the private sector economy."
Mr Desmond Magill, Chairman of Lisburn Enterprise Organisation, said: "We have over 80,000 square feet of workspace, which is at near-full capacity now, and this extended facility will help us to meet further demand for workspace and conferencing facilities.
"This development will also enable us to build on the extensive range of services that we already offer."
