Two Held Over North Belfast Murder

Police in north Belfast have held two people as part of an investigation into the suspicious death of a 29-year-old man.

The man, believed to be a Polish national, was found dead at a Cliftonville Road flat on Saturday night.

Yesterday officers arrested two people - a 28-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man - in connection with the death.

Following a post mortem, police said they were treating the killing as murder.

They have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Detectives are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw people entering or leaving 39 Cliftonville Road before 7pm on Saturday evening.

Officers carried out door-to-door inquiries in the area at the weekend and an alleyway at the back of the flat was cordoned off.
