Teen Dies In Midnight Crash
A young girl has died in a car crash in Co Antrim.
The tragedy happened shortly after midnight on the Bann Road, Ballymoney,
The car was driven by Shannan McCracken, who was just 18. Her car was the only vehicle involved, police said.
Overnight, a man was left critically ill in hospital after a Co Londonderry road accident.
The two car collision happened at Mather's Cross on the Atlantic Road in Coleraine around 7pm on Thursday.
Also, yesterday, a worker had a lucky escape in a road accident in Co Armagh.
He was taken to hospital after being thrown from a 'cherry picker'.
It happened when a lorry crashed into the machine and also hit another parked lorry at Northway in Portadown shortly after 9am on Thursday morning.
The man was treated for a head injury while the driver of one of the other lorries was also taken to hospital, but neither man's injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
