Further easyJet expansion in Northern Ireland
Low cost airline easyJet is to further increase the number of daily flights between Northern Ireland and the UK mainland.
The company claim that the increase in services further reinforces easyjet's position as Northern Ireland's largest airline.
From this summer, easyJet will have up to seven daily flights to Liverpool, and six to London Luton. This brings the total daily flights to and from Belfast to 42, which is a seven-fold increase on its services from Belfast in just three-and-a-half years.
The increase in flights to Liverpool and London Luton brings a greater choice of flight times and 20 per cent more of easyJet's lowest fares - £15 single to Liverpool and £17.50 single to London Luton (inclusive of tax and charges).
A spokesperson for easyjet said the additional services between Belfast and Liverpool will commence on May 1, and between Belfast and London Luton on June 13.
The timing of these extra flights coincides with the launch of flights to Paris from both Liverpool and London Luton.
easyjet say this will enhance travellers' ability to access connecting flights when travelling on to mainland Europe from both airports, as the greater the number of flights from Belfast to Liverpool and London Luton, will reduce the time spent waiting for an onward flight.
