AV Browne experience a gold rush at PANI Awards
It was a ‘gold rush’ for AV Browne, one of Northern Ireland’s longest established advertising agencies, at the PANI (Publicity Association of Northern Ireland) Awards, held recently in the Culloden Hotel.
AV Browne picked up seven gold awards, a silver award, two bronze awards and a commendation in four categories – outdoor, press, television and direct mail.
The awards presented in the outdoor category were: Gold for British Telecom’s ‘Lawnmower’ campaign; Gold for ‘In the Rough’, Michael Bannon campaign; and Gold for ‘Reflections’ for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI); and the British Telecom ‘Iron’ campaign lifted a silver.
In the press category AV Browne picked up a Gold for the Blackstar ‘Sofas’ campaign; Gold for the Blackstar ‘Action Sofas’ campaign; Gold for the Hastings Hotel advertisement in the ITB Visitor’s Guide; and two Bronze awards for the PSNI’s ‘Reflections’ campaign were also presented in this category.
The British Telecom ‘Sorry’ campaign also picked up a gold in the television category.
In the Direct Mail category AV Browne received a commendation for the British Telecom ‘Arrow’ Direct Mail campaign.
George Lavery, Managing Director of AV Browne, said: “We are delighted with the industry recognition we have received. To win more Gold awards than any other advertising agency from NI, GB or RoI is a fantastic achievement for AV Browne.
"We strive to provide our clients with effective, innovative and creative campaigns and the winning of these awards is proof that we are leaders in the field of creative advertising in Northern Ireland.”
These most recent wins follow on from AV Browne’s success at the recent Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) Area Effectiveness Awards, where AV Browne picked up an unprecedented five awards for campaigns created for BT Northern Ireland, Hasting Hotels and PSNI.
Established in 1926 AV Browne currently has 40 staff.
