Man Shot By Masked Gang in Derry
A man has suffered injuries to his legs and hands in shooting at a house in Londonderry. The incident happened at a house in the Drumard Park area of Ballymagroaty around 1:30am on Friday. A number of masked men forced their way into the house and shot the man several times in both legs and his left hand. He is being treated in hospital, where his condition is described as stable. The Real IRA has claimed responsibility for this attack, as well as two other incidents in which explosive devices were left outside houses in the city. A car was damaged when a device exploded outside a house in the Shantallow area, while a number of homes were evacuated in the Springtown area following the discovery of a suspicious object outside a house in Kylemore Park.
