Border Hold-Up Condemned
A second bank robbery has taken place in the border county of Fermanagh.
SDLP Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Tommy Gallagher has condemned an armed robbery in Co Fermanagh today, when Belleek's Bank of Ireland was targeted by masked men.
Mr Gallagher said: "At least two masked men, one of whom was armed, robbed the Bank of Ireland and made of with cash and a car was later found burnt out over the border.
"This is a despicable act and one which I condemn. Thankfully, nobody was hurt during the ordeal, however, the mental trauma can cause a deep-lying scar. I hope the employees are able to put this behind them.
"This is the second robbery at a bank in that part of Fermanagh in over a year, after the bank at Kesh was targeted in February and I believe there is no justification whatsoever in this type of activity," he said.
"I urge anybody with information to pass it to the police without delay. We cannot have armed robbers thinking they can target businesses in rural areas."

Bank robbery charges dropped
The County Down man accused of the £26 million Northern Bank robbery in 2004, has had the charges against him dropped. Dominic McEvoy, 23, a builder from Mullandra Park in Kilcoo, was not present in Belfast Magistrates Court during the hearing.

County Fermanagh Businessman Sean Quinn and his family have announced they are in the process of converting their holdings in Anglo Irish Bank to reflect their long-term commitment to the investment. This will represent the family taking a stake of almost 15% in the bank.

New NI Bank Notes In Circulation
New bank notes have been released into circulation in Northern Ireland. The £10 and £20 notes are being issued from Danske Bank and will gradually replace the existing Northern Bank notes. The design of the notes remains the same, the only difference is the Danske Bank logo has replaced the Northern Bank logo.
