British Toddler Feared Dead In Tsunami
A British toddler is feared to have died in the tsunami which struck the South Pacific island of Samoa.
The Foreign Office has confirmed that a British national had been killed, but it has now been reported that no body has been found.
The British Honorary Consul in Samoa has confirmed that the parents of a two-year-old child from the UK were receiving consular assistance.
More than a hundred people are now reported to have been killed after tsunamis, triggered by an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.3, struck Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.
Whole villages are reported to have been destroyed, with thousands of people being left homeless.
The Foreign Office has advised against all but essential travel to Samoa and Tonga, while in New Zealand, people living in low-lying coastal homes have been told to evacuate their homes.

Foreign office fears rise in Britons killed in tsunami
Foreign Secretary Jack Straw confirmed that the number of Britons killed in the Asian tsunami was "highly likely" to rise as he said it was feared that another 159 people may have died. The Foreign office later confirmed that another person was known to have died in the disaster, bringing the death toll as of noon to 41.
