Sugababe Amelle Admitted To Private Clinic
Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah has been admitted to a private clinic after suffering a "severe bout" of nervous exhaustion.
It is understood that the 25-year-old has been advised to take a short break from the band on medical advice and the band have now cancelled performances in Leeds and Germany to promote the new single, About A Girl and album Sweet 7.
The announcement comes after a recent line-up change in the band, which saw Jade Ewen, Britain's entrant in this year's Eurovision song contest, replace the band's only surviving original member Keisha Buchanan last month.
Buchanan has claimed that she was forced out of the band - a claim which has been denied by her former bandmates Berrabah and Heidi Range.
A statement released by the band attributed Amelle's condition to the "recent events within the band, culminating in a change of lineup".
The statement also said that Amelle was expected to return to work at the beginning of November.
