Manchester Terror Charges
Four men have been charged following a swoop by anti-terror police in Manchester last week.
Munir Ahmed Farooqi, 52, of Victoria Terrace, Longsight is charged with four offences, including encouraging someone to murder another and assisting others to commit acts of terrorism, namely violent jihad.
Haris Farooqi, 26, of Stockport Road, Levenshulme is charged with assisting others to commit acts of terrorism, namely violent jihad.
Matthew Ronald Newton, 27, of Rydal Walk, Stalybridge is also charged with assisting others to commit acts of terrorism.
Israr Hussain Malik, 21, of Bowdon Avenue, Fallowfield is charged with intent to commit acts of terrorism, namely violent jihad.
A 62-year-old has been released without charge.
The four accused will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court in London today.

Six remanded following terror raids
A youth and five men have been remanded in custody on charges in connection with an alleged terrorist recruitment network. In all 10 people have now been charged following police raids in London at the beginning of September. The six defendants were due to appear before City of Westminster Magistrats Court today.

Five Charged With Syria-Related Terrorism Offences
Two men and three women are to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court charged with Syria-related terrorism offences. The men Ayman Shaukat, aged 27 of Pargetter Street, and Alex Nash, aged 21 of Bentley Road, were arrested last Tuesday, 09 June, along with Nash's wife, Yousma Jan aged 20, also of Bentley Road.

Man Arrested On Terrorism Offences
A man has been arrested in Luton on suspicion of fundraising and inciting terrorism overseas, it has been reported. The Metropolitan Police said the 35-year-old has been taken into custody in London. Searches are now being carried out at three properties; two are in east London and the third is in Luton.

Five men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Cardiff and Barry. Police officers from the North East Counter Terrorism Unit and the Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit executed six search warrants on Thursday. The men have been arrested under the Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

25-Year-Old Woman Arrested In Syria-Related Investigation
Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman in Bedfordshire on suspicion of "preparation of terrorist acts". It is understood that the arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation "related to Syria", police said. Two addresses in Bedfordshire are being searched as part of the same operation.
