Schoolgirl Raped In East London
A 12-year-old girl has been raped as she walked to school in east London.
It is understood that the girl was grabbed by a man as she walked along Worlsey Road in Leytonstone, shortly before 8.30am on Tuesday.
She had just got off a bus on Leytonstone High road and was walking along Cann Hall Road when she was grabbed at the junction with Worsley Road.
The man forced her into a front garden, where she was attacked.
The attacker is described as black and in his teens. He also had a tattoo on his right hand and was riding a yellow bicycle. He was wearing a dark jacket, which he kept zipped up over his face.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night on suspicion of rape and he is currently being questioned by police.
Detective Inspector Declan Williams said: "The victim, who is just 12-years-old, has naturally been left deeply traumatised by what has happened.
"This is a busy area at a busy time of day and we would appeal for anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious to please come forward."
Det Insp Williams also said that the victim remembered seeing a woman on the opposite side of the road shortly before she was attacked and he appealed for the woman to come forward.

Woman Attacked In Windsor
A woman has been raped after becoming separated from her boyfriend in Berkshire. The victim, in her twenties, was standing outside Bar Indigo nightclub in Windsor on 28 June when a man approached her at around 1:30am. She agreed to speak to him away from the club and walked to a park near Bachelors Acre where he raped her.

A murder investigation is underway after a man was shot dead in broad daylight at a south east London café. According to witnesses, the gunman walked up to the victim in the D A Sandwich café in Mottingham, said "hello" then shot him in the back of the head.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a two-week old baby in Stockport, Greater Manchester Police have reported. It is understood that the ambulance service called police to an address on Shaw Road South at about 20:15 on Wednesday, 29 July. An ambulance had been called to reports that a baby had stopped breathing.
