Large Scale Inverness Disturbance
Police in Inverness have appealed for witnesses following a large scale disturbance involving youths in the Kinmylies area over the weekend.
The incident took place on Friday evening outside the shops at Kinmylies and involved around 30 youths who had been fighting in the area.
Police attended and the crowd dispersed, many of them running from the scene.
Speaking today, Northern Constabulary's Acting Chief Inspector Liz MacLeod, said: "We are currently making inquiries into the disturbance in the Kinmylies area over the weekend. We have received reports that youngsters had been fighting in the area."
She added: "Following this incident officers maintained a presence in the area to reassure local communities that the situation was under control. As a result no further reports were received that night in relation to similar disturbances.
"We are currently speaking to head teachers at local secondary schools who are assisting Police with inquiries. We are planning to increase patrols in this area over the coming weeks to prevent any further disorder."

20 Arrested Over Street Brawl
Twenty people, including a 12-year-old boy, have been arrested over a street brawl in North Lanarkshire. It is understood that the arrested were made on Monday at about 21:15, after police were called to reports of a major disturbance on Gateside Road, in the Craigneuk area of Wishaw.

Leeds Nightclub Disturbance Men Bailed
Five men have been bailed after being arrested for a disturbance outside a nightclub in Leeds. The incident occurred this morning in The Calls area of Leeds City Centre. Five other men suffered injuries and are being treated at Leeds General Infirmary for stab wounds.

Football Fans Cause Train Disturbance
British Transport Police (BTP) have appealed for information after an incident of disorder onboard a train on Saturday evening. Police attended Wylam station, Tyne and Wear, at around 9.40pm following reports of disorder involving Newcastle supporters on board the 21.22 Northern Rail train from Newcastle to Carlisle.

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Four Stabbed At Northhampton Bar
Northamptonshire Police have appealed for witnesses to a "serious disturbance" at a bar that left four people in need of hospital treatment for stab wounds. Police said they were called to Faces Bar in Bridge Street at about 4am. Bridge Street remains closed while police search the area and the bar.

Teenager questioned over fatal stabbing
A teenager is being questioned in connection with the stabbing of a 16-year-old Tyneside boy. Police are investigating the murder of Mark Smith, 16, from St John's Walk, Newcastle, who was stabbed and later died in hospital.
