Body Pulled From Methil Docks
The body of a man has been pulled from Methil Docks.
Fife Constabulary confirmed today that the 44-year-old's remains were recovered from a stolen yellow pick-up truck that entered the water at dock number three at yesterday.
Officers were alerted to the presence of the vehicle, which had been stolen from the Forth Road Bridge being used by bridge staff earlier that day, on South Road Methil shortly before the vehicle entered the water.
Specialist officers from Central Scotland Police Diving unit attended and assisted in the recovery of the man's body which was found in the vehicle, police said.
The vehicle was eventually recovered in the early hours of this morning. The man's identity is not being released until next of kin have been informed.
Superintendent John Pow said: "Central Scotland Police, who have assisted in the recovery of the man's body and the vehicle have also been invited to review the circumstances of Police involvement prior to the vehicle entering the water at Dock 3."

Dyfed-Powys Police have released a picture of a blue Land Rover Discovery belonging to a man who has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of April Jones. She was last seen by another child near her home in the Bryn Y Gog estate in Machynlleth, mid Wales, at around 7pm on Monday.

Man's Body Discovered Around 20 Hours After Fatal Collision
Police have appealed for witnesses after the body of a man was found in a crashed vehicle in North Lincolnshire. The man's body was found inside the vehicle at about 4am on Monday, 02 November. Police believe that the man crashed his BMW car between 7 and 8am on Sunday morning.

A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a Hull hotel room. Police said they were called to the Ibis hotel on Osborne Street at 13:00 on Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman. She is yet t be identified.

Man Dies Following Police Pursuit In Kent
A man has died following a police pursuit in Kent. The victim, who was in his 40's, was killed after his vehicle crashed in Maidstone Road, Rochester just before 7pm on 25 July. He had previously failed to stop for officers in Delce Road. The road was closed for several hours following the accident.
