Suspected Colchester Stabber Efit
Detectives have released an efit of a suspect wanted in connection with an incident in which two men received stab wounds at a flat in Colchester.
At 8.15pm on Monday 1 February 1 there was a knock at the door of the property on Montgomery Close.
When a 23-year-old man answered it he was confronted by two men, one white and one black, brandishing large hunting knives.
The men forced their way into flat and threatened the occupier and his 26-year-old male friend and demanded cash.
A struggle ensued and both victims suffered stab wounds to their arms and back. They later received treatment at Colchester hospital. In the course of the struggle one victim bit the black man on the cheek.
The victims shouted for help and the attackers fled the scene and nothing was stolen.
The first man is described as black, 20 -23 years, 5'10 -11", medium build, short black hair, and wearing dark clothing and a black bobble hat, this man may have a visible bite mark on his cheek.
The second man was white, 22-23 years, 5'10- 11", medium build, skinny face with stubble, and wearing dark clothing and a hood.
Police said they have recovered two knives from the scene and these will be subject to forensic examination.
Detective Constable Brandon Savage said: "The two attackers showed a total disregard for the injuries they may have caused, using knives that they took to the scene with them. I ask anyone who has any information about the attackers to contact me."

Baby Snatch Attempt Foiled By Mother
A mother has successfully fought off a man and a woman who attempted to snatch her baby daughter from her pram in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Shortly after 8pm on Sunday 12 August 2007, the 30-year-old mother was pushing a pram with her four-month-old daughter along Wigan Road, close to the Hulme Road junction.

Police in Lewisham have appealed for helping tracing 72-year-old Edward Blyden. Mr Blyden, of Bell Green Lane, Sydenham, has not been since 10:00hrs on Friday, 7 August. Mr Blyden is described as a dark skinned black man, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build with shaven grey hair and grey stubble.
