Man Jailed For Sex With Autistic Girl
A man who had sex with an autistic girl has been jailed for more than three years.
Kevin Watson, 50, of Old Harrow Road, St Leonards on Sea, met the girl's mother on an internet chat room.
He travelled to County Durham to meet the woman then built up a relationship with her "vulnerable" 15-year-old daughter.
The sexual offences occurred at the family home while the mother was out, and at a budget hotel.
At Durham Crown Court Watson admitted five counts of sexual activity with a child.
He has been jailed for 40 months and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Passing sentence, Judge Christopher Prince said: "You built up a close relationship with the girl to the extent she would text you and call you 'dad'.
"You must have surely realised that engaging in sexual activity with a young girl of this age, particularly when you were in a relationship with her mother, was likely to cause her real upset.
"There was a degree of trust breached but you were not her father or stepfather, but clearly you are someone that the family looked upon fondly."

Woman Charged With Murdering Baby
A woman has been charged with the murder of 10-month-old Chloe Sutherland, it has been reported. A 35-year-old woman, said to be the little girl's mother, made no plea or declaration during an appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today. She has been remanded in custody.

Child Dies After Being Hit By Car
West Midlands Police have confirmed that a six-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in West Bromwich. According to police, the child and her mother were hit by a car on Lyng Lane at about 17:15 on Thursday. The mother remains in hospital, but her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.
