Prisoner Charged Over Jail Stabbing
An inmate has been charged over the stabbing of three prison officers at a County Durham jail.
Durham Police report that Kevan Thakrar, 23, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of assault.
A female and two male officers were injured in the incident which happened at the high security HMP Frankland on 13 March.
Thakrar is due in court at a later date.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.

Serving Police Officer Charged With Seven Counts Of Rape
A serving police office has been charged with seven counts of rape and one count of assault. PC Michael Graham, 47, an officer in Hounslow, was arrested at his home on 06 October and charged the following day. He has been suspended from duty while officers from Sexual Offences Exploitation & Child Abuse are investigating.

William Roache has been charged with five counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between 12 and 16 during the 1960s. This is in addition to two previous charges brought in May of raping a 15-year-old girl in 1967.
